What all do I need to transfer over from the old HD so as not to create a new computer ID with BOINC? | |

he'll then need to install BOINC on the new HDD. Shutdown BOINC. then paste the data over the new install. restart boinc and you should have your data back | |

Got it. A successful move! Just ran the work dry, installed BOINC, and copyed the DIR over. And here I thought there may be some secret registry keys! | |

It may be too late but if you have more than one physical drive on you system, copy the data directory (C:/ProgramData/Boinc) to a separate drive, then do a repair install during which you will hit the ADVANCED button and point to the new drive that contains the data directory. This will insure that whatever happens on the system drive your data will be preserved. | |
