i have WU currently 1046:19:40 (over 43 days) to completion bit check in date is Jan 31 2011 (shortest so for date for a seti return) is this right

The WU is an astropulse V505 5.06

Don't panic! ;-)

That's probably your first AstroPulse task, and so the estimates are quite off. Just let it run and you'll see that the time-to-completion estimate gets lower rapidly.

With the next AP tasks, the estimates will get better successively, as BOINC learns by doing.

Edit the Seti project preferences, uncheck Astropulse, Astropulse v5.05 and "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" and save the changes with the "Update preferences" button. These will be used immediately at the next time your computer contacts the project.
