I founded a team "Disaster Area" in the UK for my young son a few years ago. Recently I decided to allow new members but no matter how I set the option I cant get the JOIN NOW option to appear on the team profile .... Any ideas

I see a "Join this team" link on your team. You as founder will not see it as you are already a member of your team. Other members of the team won't see it either, as they are already member of the team and don't need to join again. Make sure that the account you test with is logged in. Not activated accounts will not be able to see the "join" link.

One thing that can block this link is blocking Java and Javascript on these pages. Noscript programs will do that. Make sure to allow the pages to load in the script blocker.
Another thing that can block this, though this isn't the case in your case (at this time), is that you set "Accept new members?" to No (no check mark). Then the "Join" link won't be there.

Thankyou for the speedy reply Jord, Kinda clears it up, I had gathered as founder I couldnt see the join now link and that was the reason I created Claires account. But as you see the button then there is no problem .... Thankyou again.
