Now, what kind of steam locomotive. Maybe Climax then, or Heisler? Who the hell is General Failure and why is he reading my harddisk?¿ |

Now, what kind of steam locomotive. I am actually not certain of the exact make, but the class is important. Hint for the day: Some of these are still in use, and irreplaceable. BOINC WIKI |

Just a stab in the dark; the drive gear from a steam loco for a cog railway. We have a winner. It is the drive gear from a cog locomotive. Probably a Riggenbach style. BOINC WIKI |

Keeping with the current theme of old iron, and gears, what is it (should be easy for some), and what is it from? Extra credit if you can name the manufacturer. [/img] |

Looks like it has a cam on it. Yes, and the cam looks to be thicker than the gear that it is mounted on. Is it from a vehicle of some sort? BOINC WIKI |

Looks like it has a cam on it. Your both right that it has a cam, however its not from a vehicle. some sort of farm implement? Your part right, the machine it's from was multipurpose, it was used by farmers, construction and industry. |

All right, sorry about the long wait. This gear is not from a sewing machine or pile driver. HINT the machine also has 2 flywheels. |
