Am I missing it, or is there a way to set the number of tasks on BIONC manager that run at the same time? I'd like to set it to run one task at a time vs. say 3 at once...

you have a dual core processor. so it is running 1 WU at a time on both cores. It shouldnt be able to run 3 unless you have a side project that allows your GPU to run work as well.
You shouldnt see any lag from the BOINC process or Seti because they are set at the lowest processing level which means that every other function on your PC will take precedence over BOINC.

If you only want to run 1 at a time then You'll need to change your setting on your account computing preference to run 1 core or 50% of your CPU
