Wives do age faster than men. When I was 40 I married a gal who was twenty. That meant I was twice her age. Now 20 years later I am 60 and she is 40. Now I am only 1.5 times her age. In 20 more years I will be 80 and she will be 60; so then I will only be 1.33 times her age.

So by Modus Ponens either men age more slowly than women or women age faster than men.

Wow, If I even hinted that my lovely Long Sufferin’ Marie was ageing at anywhere close to my age I think it would give her great grief that I was losing my mind like that. My sweetie was four years younger than me when we got married and now twenty one years later she is a much younger than I am, and she looks even younger still. I can’t even tell my real age for fear that someone may guess close to my wife’s age.

No comparison or wife here, the closest I can get is My Sister in law of course, She's older than Me and Yes I do know by how much and like Angela, Kathy doesn't dye Her hair either, I'm 51 of course, If I hadn't taken care of Mom until She passed away I might have gotten married and had children years ago, but such was not to be.

I think that women age faster than men because they live with men ......

@John - You've only dug Tom so far, you need to start on Dick and Harry as well .....

Well lets see Grandpa (Earl E.) Bobier married Grace Dougherty(His wife, not My cat) back in 1912, She lived until 1968 when she passed away, Grandpa passed away from loneliness in 1969 and I think Grace was His 2nd wife as My Grandpa had to have married some other woman between 1909 and 1912 as My Dad had a half brother show up to dispute the will and break said will in 1970, no idea who He was or what His Moms name is or of what happened to Her or to Him or if He has any children or not, He came from Oregon I was told, one of these days I need to look up the court info in the LA County archives from 1970 on the will.

Passing my own birthday doesn't bother me in the slightest.

However, when I realize how old my younger family members are, that makes me feel really old.

For example: It's perfectly OK that I'm 52.

However, the fact that my little sister is nearly 49 and my baby cousin is 43 is just plain wrong. What's worse, their kids (and mine) are all teenagers now. This is completely unacceptable. Hell, all but one of them are taller than me! Whose idea was that?

First time i realised my youth was probably over, was when people were graduating university who were born after i started school.
Does this mean i should now be mature and responsible? Hah! Not likely!

I have known that feeling, too!
Last couple years in the Navy, the youngsters I was training quite literally WERE young enough to be my kids. (And no, I don't have any kids that I know of...........)

And now it's the same at my current position with the USDA. Some of our recent new-hires are young enough to be my grand-kids.

Feeling old #3: my youngest sister's oldest daughter turned 29 in September, last week she got married.
