Hello! :)

Did you already see this?

Apparently they are soon collecting data from the Green Bank Telescope, which is quite big (100 m, 110 m)!

How much would the sky coverage be after this?

This is odd. For about two years, I have been about to write a sci-fi story, which has 2500 Green Bank like telescopes in a Project Cyclops like array. The data from that array would be processed in the SETI@home project...

If there was a hard science fiction movie about SETI or SETI@home, what would you like to see in it?

Sounds exciting. Looking forward to different kinds of WUs coming through.

GOD there is so much potential SETI-horsepower out there unutilised...

Finally! It was about time to happen! I hope we will have better luck in the new portions of the sky that we will analyse.

I also believe that with this move, seti@home scientists quietly admits that there is nothing interesting in the sky portions that Arecibo has acess.

For 11 years we are analyzing again and again WU provided by Arecibo observatory, and there is no evidence of ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence, so it is time to move on.
