What a complete waste of time.
For over three months I have been trying to 'attach to a project' and nothing.
You lot asked me to rejoin.

So I take it you missed the fact that we just came back online after nearly a month and a half hiatus?

If you've been trying for the last three months, it might help us to diagnose your problem if you give any errors you've been receiving, or other clues as to why you believe it hasn't been working.

I have the same here.
Boinc manager keep saying: Error "no work available"
(on a fresh installed vista x64)

and the same on my laptop with vista x86

to bad, i tried to install it last year on an other installation with the same problems. Since the introduction of boinc, seti does nor work anymore on my systems.

Since SETI has not been handing out work for nearly 6 weeks, everyone is trying to grab them up and fill their caches. This means that there will be times when your computer attempts to download some work and the servers happen to be empty at that time.

People will need to be patient while work is being generated.


If you are interested in fixing the problems, all you have to do is ask and someone can help you. No need to install and give up because it doesn't work right away. BOINC works on nearly half a million computers around the world, so it is not like it is defective or simply doesn't work on select machines.

I've been using BOINC since 2003 on various hardware configurations running nearly every version of Windows since Windows 95. It indeed works.

I've used both Seti@Home and the new BOINC and the only time I have problems is when they have been created by me. Try again and ask for help like I do.
