I want to use the 9300m gs GPU to run Seti on my laptop. The GPU has 256mb dedicated graphics and is enough according to the platform wich states it requires 254mb as a minimum.

The BOINC client sees only 231mb dedicated graphics. Why and is there anything I can do to get it to run?

Thanks in advance people :-)

It's your videocard drivers that do that. The CUDA 3.0 and 3.1 drivers have the added downside of reporting less memory on the card than there is. BOINC can't help it, it just follows what Nvidia is telling it there is.

Fix? Use older drivers, like the 190.38.
