Welcome to the SETI forum Luis!

So i downloaded Bionic and installed it in my computer and its running. now what? do i just let it run?

Yes! It does everything by itself. If you allow a BOINC project like SETI@home to run on your computer, what your doing is allowing scientists to run computer models or preform calculations in the background on your PC.

can i listen to the sounds of space being transmitted {if any}?

No! The radio noise recorded from the SETI radio telescope is at 1420 MHz, way above what your human ears can hear. But it sounds very similar to the noise you hear if you switch on a radio in your house and listen to the fuzz or noise between the radio stations.

Here is a website with spacesounds; http://www.spacesounds.com/. They have stuff that sounds just like the work units being processed now by your computer!

whats my computer doing to help?

Your computer is looking for mathematical repeating sequences in the recorded radio noise. If it finds anything unusual, it automatically sends the result back to SETI for the scientists to examine closer.

i know its asking a lot but i could not find any answers on the forums.

Your Ok Luis, now you have a few answers anyway. If you have any more questions, just fire away and me or someone else will help you.

John.
