Ok, I know roughly how much I weigh and I know the weight of 'Ole Pookers, but just exactly HOW am I supposed to get Interloper Mama, Artie, Rufus, Spirit and Izzy on a scale? I am going to ask Eric to estimate their respective weights. Rufus is big for his age - Spirit is small, so I guess it will even out. As soon as we figure out what the number is, I will pm it to Uli, so that she will be able to declare a winner when the contest is over. Thank you, Uli-belle, for not asking me to post my weight!!!!! |

Do the rockys weigh much? I think all estimates so far are weigh light.{pun intended}. Ang and Eric alone would go for about 100 lbs. LOL. OK, maybe 200. Add the kittens and raccoons, might bring it to 3 Good will and fortune might tack on an additional couple of pounds. So I will posture 300 lbs. total. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Well fed raccoons are heavy beasties. I'll guess 405. Pure mathematics is, in its way, the poetry of logical ideas. Albert Einstein |

Point of order, Madam Chairperson: Given Eric's profession, I suspect that he might point out that weight in fact depends on which planet they find themeselves, and even on where on said planet they find themselves. Are we in fact guessing their mass, or can we clearly state, for the record, which location on which planet the weight is measured? |

Bill Planet Earth East Bay. The weight should also include the kitties. I would say Spawnie weighs about 15 pounds. More than one guess is ok with me, encase you want to change your guess. I will use the last one posted. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

Thanks for the clarification Uli. I did not know that I was supposed to include the cats as well. For the record there are now 5 of these. Spawnie is a large male stray who lives permanently in our backyard. Jordan White Paws is a medium sized male feral who dines regularly in our backyard. I consider Jordan W.P. to be "our cat" because I've made some good progress in desensitizing him to my presence. He now regularly comes within about a foot of me if I am holding a food dish, and several weeks ago he got close enough for me to touch him. Indoors we have Stinky-Lou, who is a large adult female cat, along with two new kittens, Zsa-Zsa and Eva. Ok, so when you do your calculations that makes 2 people, 5 raccoons and 5 cats. We're not counting the skunks, opossums, squirrels, jays and rats that I feed, right? |

Two people? I misread the earlier posts I guess. Make my guess 385 pounds. Here's a suggestion for the next contest: how many cats can you own before you are officially a Crazy Cat Lady? Or Crazy Cat Guy, to be fair. |
