As per the numerous other posts and the front page, two servers died on Oct 28th. Their replacements have arrived and are being configured, and server roles are being swapped around to best utilize the new ones.

The project is expected to be down for at least another two weeks.

Yes.

Any time there's a server error in the recent past, you can safely assume that when it's back up, everyone will be pounding the server for days afterward trying to get more work, which will cause everyone else to have troubles getting work. Essentially a data traffic jam.

he appears to have 7 onboard. I'm wondering about the einstein account. Did you sign up for that recently? it's not showing on your account page

I'm confused as to what's happening here.

A "project" is something like SETI@Home or Rosetta@Home.
A "workunit" or "task" is the data file that needs to be analyzed.

So when you say "every time you add a project you have to change your password", what is actually happening? You only seem to belong to two projects according to your account: SETI@Home and Milkyway@Home.

Or do you mean every time you ask for more work you get prompted to change your password?

Ok, because each project is handled separately. When you join a new project, you have to create an account for that project and a password. They do not all share the same account information between each other.

It is strongly suggested that you use the same email address for all projects you join to keep any cross-project stats together.
