i can not see how to place an avatar on postings can some one tell me how please keep it simple because i have only had a pc for a year and very new here

When you click on Account at the top or bottom of every page, there's a link to Message board preferences. There's an option there to upload your own avatar or use one from Gravatar.com. I believe avatars cannot exceed 100KB in size.

A bit more detail.


Go to your account page

Scroll down to Preferences, Message boards and private messages link

Click 'Use this uploaded avatar' to use an avatar of your own (must be 100X100 pxl or smaller.) Follow direction for uploading from your computer.

You also have the option of choosing an avatar from Gravatar if you prefer.

Scroll down to the bottom and click 'Update'.

Refresh your browser to see the results.


Also, I believe the upper size limit is 10kb, not 100kb as the previous poster stated. (I could be wrong about that, tho.)

Format: JPG or PNG. Size: at most 4 KB, 100x100 pixels
