Congrats Esme--feel better Julie.

Winning w/ Saturday Morning Memories..

I can't figure out how to list each song individually but this is a listing from a dear friend who passed many years ago named Rich Arnold. He was an IMMENSELY talented singer-songwriter.

In specific I draw your attention to:

I Wish You Well (Ode to his ex)
Thinking of You
A Little More Magic (Tribute to Magic Johnson)

Try youtube, my friend.

I don't have a sound card in the Frozen One, from which I am posting right now, but I found a few. One I wanna hear is 'three short blues guitar jams'.

Whomsoever gets the mystery post, as pre-chosen by my lovely assistant, gets to parade naked around the cafe in a victory lap before opening the 130th "Last person to post her wins!" thread.

I'm just not happy unless I get my naked time...

Well done Es.

I had noticed the clue but it was 1am here and there were about 20 posts to go!!

Bernie

Ah.. I didn't even realise people were giving clues.

The post number is in a sealed envelope in a locked safe surrounded by ferocious attack cats.

(Actually, it's written on the back of an envelope lying on my desk somewhere, but there is a ferocious attack cat who will chew your toes if you try to get to it)

I may post some clues once we get closer...but for now know that it is less than the number of the last winning post.

Beating the attack katz around the butt with a soggy black pudding. But I still cannot find the envelope (brown and under a plain wrapper).
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

Winning with apple pancakes.

My wonderful grandmama made some to die for potato pancakes.

And dumplings.........the memory makes me drool still.

And, as many grandmothers do, , she always said.......
Eat, eat, you are to thin......eat! Are you sure you have had enough?
Eat!

Must have been a holdover from their days in old Germany.

The good thing about them is that I usually end up with far too many, so there are some left for tomorrow as well.

My great-grandmother was famous for her beersoup. Alas the recepie has not survived the generations.

Winning with ginger cake cooling - a surprise for Eric when he gets home. Eric is in the middle of NSF "proposal season" and so he went into to work this morning. I do not think he will be home until very late. Every time I think I work hard at my job, I am reminded of how easy my job is compared to his...

NSF almost sound like the NSA, As the old joke, called "No Such Agency", Paperwork can be a problem, I dread It sometimes Myself, As I had to look up a legal description on some property and I'm not used to that, Which means Tract and Lot numbers, But since I had the APN number I could find that info at the local assessors website. Right now I'm watching the movie "The Day After Tomorrow", A new ICE Age Sudden and Abrupt, Europe buried under 15' of Snow, a Tsunami in New York City that Freezes solid, People heading South, the Mexican Border closed by the Mexican Government, Now that would be a disaster, But to some they'd say We have our country back at last, But then they'd freeze soon after. I'm glad It's just a movie so far, Reality if It were like that would be lethal, I'm glad It isn't right now.
