Their Domain name seems to have expired. Does anyone around here have connections to them? Does anyone know if they will be back? I'm just curious if I should dump all the ready to report work I'm holding for them since they were my primary backup project behind seti. Thanks. |

Keep the work. TJM has problems with the latest BOINC back-end software. Enigma will return eventually. |

This is different than server problems. The domain name no longer exists as if someone forgot to renew. Does anyone have contact info that doesn't end with @enigmaathome.net that they can share? If he is coincidentally having server problems then he may not be aware that the Domain has expired. |

Unfortunately, the detailed information appears to be set to "private". |

This is different than server problems. The domain name no longer exists as if someone forgot to renew. ... the Domain has expired. The domain registration is still there: Expiration Date: 12-Oct-2011 Registered in Brzeziny. However, there is no DNS and no server for that domain. Either his server is down or his hosting has expired. Or it's just that his DNS hosting has expired and so we can't find him on the internet. Hopefully he'll reappear. Yes, I've seen all that whois. But if you do a dig for the authoritative name servers you get no answer. That query should be handled by servers above him so it isn't just that his servers are offline. If you do a dig for any type of record at the servers listed in whois you also get no answer. So if anyone can pass this along to him, it may be worth while. |

It was up around 4:00 utc yesterday 10th. I managed to get 219+ tasks on a I7 980X. As I write the site is down. I'm in New Zealand utc + 13 |

Very odd. It's been down all week from my perspective. I've been using DNS searches from various web services to rule out some kind of local or regional DNS failure. Time to do some searching and see what GTLD servers are in use upstream from me. That should be fun. |

The domain is up, I can reach it if I circumvent the proxy. So it looks like not the domain is down, but the proxy. Yes, all of www.enigmaathome.net is run through a proxy in California. And sorry, no, I am not allowed to give out the alternate address. You'll just have to take my word for it. Or look at this: Server software version: 22566 |

Are you working by IP only? All dns queries that I run result in a no answer error. That's cool about not passing on contact info. If you can reach them could you pass on a note to use some of his vast free time ;) to look at connectivity from a couple sources to track down the disconnect? Thanks. |

And this has WHAT to do with Robert relax a bit. The project SETI is down right now and not may people are posting. This is one of the better sites to ask questions about BOINC on the net. The only other place to post this because the web site for the project being asked about is currently unreachable is here or at the BOINC website. Yes the best place is the projects sub forum at BOINC but here works ok also. Again Robert we can't ask questions at the projects web site because the web site is unreachable right now. So the next best is here or the projects sub forum at the BOINC Message boards. |

Well, a few others can get through from time to time so I guess I have bad timing and I'll consider the matter closed. Thanks everyone for taking time to look in on this. |

Are you working by IP only? No, I have an alternate address directly to the Enigma project, one that doesn't go through the proxy. Got that one at the time TJM was moving the site from its old place to the new one, and kept it for things like this (and testing at the time). It doesn't go to www.enigmaathome.net, but to another address. Everything is proxied if you access it through enigmaathome.net domain, so if the proxy is down, you won't be able to get to the address or ping it. I have emailed TJM on his @Gmail address, figuring that it doesn't make sense to email him on his @enigmaathome.net address. We'll see. ;-) |

Nice. Maybe he can rattle a chain towards the proxy or something. Thanks. |

And for those wondering, TJM's account had reached its resource limit at the hosting site. Which was all. ;-) |

And for those wondering, TJM's account had reached its resource limit at the hosting site. Which was all. ;-) Thanks for letting us know. Jord can you tell us what was done to free up resource limit? I reported 25 tasks. Have another 192 task crunch through they average 30 minutes. I'm doing 12 at a time on my I7 980X |
