As everybody knows that SETI@Home is generally down on week-days, I am planning to shift to Einstein project.
Any idea, why SETI is generally down?

They have been giving updates for quite a while now on the Tech News page.

To sum it up, they are using old, donated, pre-production hardware for their servers which have been crashing more frequently. Thanks to the generous donation of many individuals, they have raised enough for 2 brand new servers. It will still take about 2 or 3 weeks to get them burned in before they're reading to deploy.
