As everybody knows that SETI@Home is generally down on week-days, I am planning to shift to Einstein project.
Any idea, why SETI is generally down?

Bookmark and read Front Page News and Technical News forum. When forums are down, you can still check the Technical News pages.

They have been giving updates for quite a while now on the Tech News page.

To sum it up, they are using old, donated, pre-production hardware for their servers which have been crashing more frequently. Thanks to the generous donation of many individuals, they have raised enough for 2 brand new servers. It will still take about 2 or 3 weeks to get them burned in before they're reading to deploy.
