It seems that the download servers cannot handle a slow connection. Boinc says project may be down after a gap of 3 seconds. pinging www.setiathome.berkley.edu times out when seti servers stop responding. Boinc is requesting more work before it can complete the downloads of the first set. I seem to now have 3 sets of downloads from seti timing out. Aborting dl and trying later gives same result. In Australia dsl2+ capped to 64k dl due to excessive usage. |

I don't believe a server exists at www.setiathome.berkeley.edu. You might try setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu instead. |

I think the downloadserver listens at boinc2.ssl.berkeley.edu; and I do get some timeouts, but most of the time more than one ping packet get through. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) SETI@home classic workunits 3,758 SETI@home classic CPU time 66,520 hours |
