No and no. Would like to post more pics but I am experiencing some issues with my internet connection and PC settings....what else? I bet there is something else to add up the list!! Have a look eastbound. The flowers you can see is of a very special sort and only to find in this place. In other words: endemism. |

I remember David Attenborough reporting on the ecosystem, but I've forgotten which part of the planet he was on at the time.... :-( |

I remember David Attenborough reporting on the ecosystem, but I've forgotten which part of the planet he was on at the time.... :-( Richard, you are getting closer.... I have seen some of his tv-serials. I think he is the one and only I have in mind when thinking about Nature reports. |

Mount Teide National Park on Tenerife. Certainly you are right! Cañadas del Teide National Park and the flowers are Tajinastes rojos, for you Julie. Sorry for the size, have some issues with my PC and internet connection. |

Looks like the upper entry for a canal lock next to a river. The lock entry would be to the right in the picture. Europe someplace? BOINC WIKI |

Although it looks like a river, I bet it is not. I would say it is a channel or some lake and at least over 2.000 feet MSL (Mean Sea Level) judging the trees. But I might be wrong. |
