The Mods and I would like to thank you for being so civil. Can't report or get new work, but no grombaling here.
OOPS, that could get me fired.

Now seriously. Great changes are on the way. Just hang tight for a bit longer, PLEASE.
Pluto will always be a planet to me.

I have officially added S@H to my List of Things to Worry About. It comes in at about 1,500,000,000 on the list right now. I'll get to it in a few centuries, assuming nothing new comes up in that time.

The way I see it it that I came here to help with some science. When I got here I found friends, and they will stay my friends whether SETI is up or down.

My Official Things To Worry About List:

1. What to have for lunch
2. 21 year old son still lives with us
3. The Leafs suck - and the season hasn't even started
...
658. The baggage retrieval system at Heathrow Airport
659. S@H is falling behind in data processing
660. That little lump on my right arm
...
146,752. Why do hot dogs come in packages of 8, and the buns in packages of 6?
146,753. Arecibo will shut down soon, no new work for S@H
146,754. What is that thing on Donald Trump's head?
...
1,499,999. Why did I sell that 1957 Triumph so cheap?
1,500,000. I only have one S@H WU right now.
1,500,001. (this spot available)

I will say 'Thank you' - if the report file found the home..

..and I don't need to detach/attach again for well scheduler contact - like a few times in past (and all results are calculated for nothing).

E7600:
Reporting 1955 completed tasks, requesting new tasks for GPU
Scheduler request failed: HTTP service unavailable

940 BE:
Reporting 4555 completed tasks, requesting new tasks for GPU

..and increasing.

I think you need to get organised. If you freeze your list and strictly schedule 1 second of worry to each topic you can get to worrying about S@H in only 47 years, 6 months, 18 hours and 38 minutes approximately. You wouldn't have time for sleep but sleeping if for wimps anyway!

This has made it as high as No.1 on the list, but I went to the beer store yesterday, so it is down around 10,000 or so right now.

I couldn't have said it better myself Steve. This is the place where "My Family " lives. Science only makes it more FUN.

Yeah, no worries here. Lots of things to crunch, and even if there wasn't, the World wouldn't end (at least I hope not).

I am sure the SETI Guys are working hard and look forward to everything being back up and running again.

In the meantime ..... I am off for some pasta and a glass (or two) of wine.

Cheers

Tom

Geeee... Never thought to see such a thread! :-p

Rather intrigued by what way and how? Oscar? Purring with the present two database holders? Databases in a three-way parallel super cluster?

Do you also get a backup aircon??

Happy crunchin',
