Ive installed BOINC on a WIN 7 and now its running astropulse v5 and to completion it shows 253h. It is normal? Why does it download normal tasks??

Astropulse is a "normal" task. If you dont like the Astropulse task please head to your account page click on seti@home preferences and edit your preferences to include only Multibeam work

Yes and no ;-)

It is normal that it shows a badly miscalculated estimate for the first few tasks. That will get better over time.

The actual run time should be much shorter.
