Then again, I have been known to change my mind. I can't claim that I ever was able to change Angela's mind, though

As nature intended, my love.

(And Oscar is a very nice name, indeed!)

How about Felix? Oscar is fine of course but servers should be kept clean and well organized. That is better represented by Felix than Oscar. But in this case I will follow the crowed. I vote for Oscar.

I vote for Oscar as long as it isn't forced to take 2 week timeouts

I vote for Oscar the grouch!

Where can I find details on the new server and it's intended purpose?

Haven't been on that much recently (work issues) and I'm too dumb to find it on my own.

The origination came from number crunching "a quick fundraiser". The need was expressed for a nitpicker server, which has been part of the reason for recent extended outages.(well, scheduled extended outages.. they were happening anyway)
Staff may re-balance things and which server actually becomes the nitpicker may change.. they have yet to build it.. But funds have been donated to get it rolling.

Oscar is fine with me though I don't think I have a vote. I am already calling my car Kermit. Why you may ask? When I went to buy it I told the sales man I wanted a mustang with a V8, manual transmission and I would take just about any color other than green. It was year end close out so they only had four cars in stock and to make a long story short, my car is a color called Pacific Green.

My mother bought a car that the original customer refused because they could not pay. We named it Frodo (Brown Civic with a flame paint job along the sides).

Oscar is fine by me. Felix for the next one?

My my my.......

I never thought when I proposed the name Oscar for the new server in the NC donation challenge thread that I would strike such a chord with others......

I thank you for your support, even if you are thinking of a different 'Oscar' than I am......

This is the Oscar that Lori and I still miss every day........and it is his memory that I would be honored to have remembered.

Is there an Oscar associated with Felix the Cat?
