After careful consideration I joined Orbit as a backup given ...

JOKINGLY

that:-

a) SETI can't currently deliver on any level (harsh I know - but check my SETI ''joined date'' and ask me why ... at your peril ;-)
b) I'd rather know about my death 1 second before it happens instead of a WOW! 100 years later
c) If ET is really out there, SETI won't hear the reply for 11 years ... minimum ... via SETI current status.
