Hey Magenta, you are really really good at this. There must be some craft fairs that you could exhibit at round your way? The beads and bangles brigade would love this stuff!

I love it Magenta! May I order one in royal blue?
I remember from my sewing days Simplicity, but I also remember "McCall's",
and I think, if I remember correctly, "Butterworth's". Are those two also still on the market???

Once again, thank you so much for your encouragement and kind words :-)

I have made my first silk scarf, which I think may be a potential market for me.

Firstly dyed in the "mokume" style (Japanese for woodgrain) with yellow dye. Rinsed and dried, and then clamped between two "flower-shaped" pieces of pine ("itajame" style) and dyed with a combination of magenta, turquoise, and a whisper of black. The dye bath and wet cloth looked awful...I thought I'd stuffed it up. However, when I dried it I could see that it was actually quite nice.

Special thanks to Monday for cutting out shapes for me with his dewalt jigsaw :-)

Magenta's craft and designs are even better as the weather is flawless - wall-to-wall sunshine, no clouds, no wind and cool.

Quick message for the UK readers.

BT are replacing ALL of their Powerline adapters that they give out free when you subscribe to BT Vision. If you have them you will be getting two new ones free of charge. Apparently some models have brittle casings which crack if hit by a vacuum cleaner etc. You'll get a freepost bag to send the old ones back.

Could you send your old ones to me instead. They work perfectly well if looked after and I have several people who would love to site their computer in a different room without the extension cabling. I will happily pay the postage.
