	are we permitted to participate in any way at all? are there lectures online offered by seti to educate people about the technology being used, techniques being used and current thinking regarding et? I think that would be wonderful, I for one would like to know more

	The work being done is just done on your computer, no need to actively check anything (listen in, watch the screen saver for tell-tale signs). If you want to learn more about Seti@Home, start here.
