This information was posted over on Lunatics......
Although the ranking is probably more indicative of gaming performance than Cuda crunchability, I still found the rankings of interest. You might too.

nvidia card rankings....

Thanx for the info.

Just a question, what does the new driver do for me?
The card has a computability of 1.1 (old)
The cuda 31 gives you double precison improvements. Does the card support it?
As far as I know the G92b GPU has no support for that.
Other than that the GPU is running fine @ 80 degrees C, no fan active (luckily)

So what will be the real improvement for me? I have the driver downloaded already, but I am hesitating to install it.

That app is in need of replacement now that vlars are done on the cpu, Also You could upgrade Your video driver to 257.15 at the very least.[/quote]

I'd think the newer drivers still support the older cards, But last I looked they still support My even older non-cuda cards, My 295 card is a 1.3, Which is not too much different, But then It doesn't sound too much different than a 295 in some respects, As noted below, In any case the driver should support Your card, If You downloaded the 258.96 driver for the 3600M, Since I don't have one I can't go any farther. I'd say make a roll back point, Sorry can't help there, then install the new driver and then see what happens. Good Luck.

the Quadro FX 3600M is available as a fully qualified MXM v2.1A type-III form factor mobile workstation graphics board with 512 MB G-DDR3 memory, 256-bit memory interface, 51.2GBps graphic memory bandwidth, OpenGL 2.1, Shader Model 4.0, and DirectX 10

Yer right, Double Precision only starts at 1.3, As to whether that's important in Seti, I'd defer to others on this, As I think It's been mentioned before, But I don't recall the details.

I'd think the newer drivers still support the older cards.

Correct!

I am running 2 legacy nVidia graphics cards doing CUDA crunching (under the NV 258.96 driver) for Collatz.

The rig is a W2K PCI dual P3 machine with 2 x PCI low riser 1024MB CUDA 1.1 crunchers, which are GeForce 9500GT PCI slot GPUs.
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

The newest drivers still support my 6200.....
In fact, the display is better than it was using the old drivers.

It's too bad none of the 6200 cards can crunch as I have two of them still.

I am thinking about picking up a GTX460-768 to put in my my cruncher only machine, it currently has my ATI Radeon HD4830-512 working on Collatz. It would have to be this one as the monitor is a D-sub only connection.
Palit NE5TX460FHD79 GeForce GTX 460

My gaming machine still will retain the ATI Radeon HD5830-1024 for Milkyway work.

Yeah I've been looking at the 460, But in 1GB instead of 768MB as each gpu of the 295 has 896MB, Also I'm trying to stick with the reference boards as so far they can be water cooled, So far It's Zotac and the EVGA SC, As some overclock nicely to around 900MHz to 1GHz... And the scuttlebutt is that at those speeds, They will keep up with a 480 and the prices are good too, As is the wattage used, overclocked or not. Oh and I did try and shove two WU's at a time into a 295 gpu(4 for the card) and two errored out after about 30 seconds, Anyone know why? Besides the usual It can't do two at a time.

Oh and I'll keep the 295 right where It is, Why not? It's happy there.
