Any news on this issue? I still suffer of the underclocking problem on all my machines, no matter the driver used or the card. Sometimes, when a GPU produce a computation error, it will underclock to 2d clock, and sadly my new GTX 460s are doing this too. The only way I found to prevent this (so far) is using stock clock, as the driver will recover and set stock clock again, but then, all performance gains with oc are wasted. Any news anyone? |

I've posted this solution before , but here it is again: HowTo - Prevent GTX 200 Series Downclocking using RivaTuner. I hope it'll work for you like it did for me ! edit: didn't tested it with fermi card yet. Who the hell is General Failure and why is he reading my harddisk?¿ |

Sorry my bad Zeus, because I didn´t mention that I use RT and it works.... for one GPU. On multi GPU systems, all the others downclock. And no, it does not work with my 460s :( So im guessing that there is nothing new on this? |

I am using Nvidia system tools with my 480's, and I am running them both at 830 MHz, while stock is 700 MHz. Here is a link to the system tools. http://www.nvidia.com/object/nvidia_system_tools_6.02.html There is no down clocking with my system, and it is very fast. I just have the two GPU's and my RAC is pushing 44,000. Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. GPUUG Website |

SciManStev, it looks like you pushed a little too hard and fell right over the top. Now if it will only keep climbing!! :-) PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

SciManStev, it looks like you pushed a little too hard and fell right over the top. Now if it will only keep climbing!! :-) heh.. it will probably slip a bit over the next 3 days.. But it looks like you have a solid 40K+ cruncher on your hands!! I show at 5K}+ for 2 machines, but it looks like I may slip down below that mark. Janice |
