Hi, I am having problems with my windows 7 install seeing my GPU Old system - http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=5462431 New system - http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/show_host_detail.php?hostid=5493260 Same version of Bionic & Nvidia Drivers I have just moved my GTX470 from a XP to Win7 while I setup my new box Thanks |

You didn't install BOINC as a service, did you? As under Windows XP it doesn't matter if BOINC is a service with a GPU installed, since there the drivers are visible to all accounts. Under Windows Vista and 7, drivers are separated from the user accounts. This is a Windows thing of security, nothing BOINC can do to fix that. Installing BOINC as a service will make it impossible for the driver detection to work at BOINC start-up. And as such, you will have to install BOINC as not a service (uncheck the "protected application execution" option in the Advanced screen in the Installer). |
