Message 1321924 - Posted: 30 Dec 2012, 3:36:12 UTC

We recently replaced a couple of solid doors in our kitchen with doors that have glass inserts. For me, this ups the light in my kitchen and makes things seem more airy in there, but upon installation... wow! - our cats can suddenly see through doors! They were initially somewhat puzzled. As the three of them stood in front of a new door sniffing and staring through a glass insert, I'm pretty sure they were also silently thanking Santa for the gift of x-ray vision!!!

Oh, hei.

Thanks for the time-out.
I needed that.
And no, I was not being sarcastic.

Uli & Chris (and many others) have visited before, so they know the lay-out of my kitchen... We did not change our back door. We just changed the door at the top of the stairwell that leads downstairs and the left door from the entry way into the kitchen. We are simply going to paint the pocket door from the dining area into the kitchen, so that door will not be a "Peek-a-boo" kitty door.

Just keep the disintegrator guns away from the kitties....might be a few less doggins around otherwise.

Problem is Acme disintegrator guns are really good at disintegrating, themselves, pull the trigger and watch'em go to powder...

All you have to do is to remember when buying is flip the switch from reverse to forward :)

Well that's not what I meant, when the trigger is pulled, the gun goes to powder, not the shooter or the shootee...

The Acme company always did seem to have a bit of trouble with their quality control protocols.

Worker: "Boss, we seem to have a problem in that the gun disintegrates itself when fired"
Boss: "So what, is there a market for it?"
Worker: "Well Boss no, not really. People won't buy stuff that doesn't work as advertised and falls apart after buying it"

Hi Mark,

We spent Hogmanay round at friends, having a good meal and a lot of banter. Our friends have 3 cats (Calico's) and we took them round a big bag of "Dreamies" (cat treats) for their Christmas/New Year - the cats that is, our friends probably wouldn't like the taste :))

Well, to say I was crowded out by 3 excited cats, scrabbling to get at the bag of "Dreamies" is an understatement. I think I have just become their friend for life.

You and Lori have a good New Year - and the Kitties too.

You too, Tom.
Funny story about the Dreamies....Chris S. actually posted me a couple of packets of them some time ago. They don't market them here in the states. My 4 rascals got rather animated after they got their first taste of them too!
