Just checked......seems a teeny bit better. Less opaque than before. I prayed to God to save Tigger's eye. Seems the little prayer might have helped. She is sleeping soundly, as most kitties do. Some more meds in the morning. I have never experienced such a thingy with kitties. Scared the living crap outta me.....all of a sudden her eye was white. The 3 litter sisters had a staph infection as kittens. So, their sinuses are forever plugged up, and they cannot purr like normal kitties. But, they continue on like any other kittens. This is the first strange thingy from any of them. The vet did not quite know what to make of it, other than Tigger's eye was not too bad. Got her in to the vet in time. She don't like her meds though. Don't blame her. Somebody rubbing crap in my eye once a day would not suit me either. Nor stuffing a pill down my throat. Hope it clears up soon, I am soooooooo worried about Tigger's eye. \ Meowsigh. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

BTW, thank you so much for caring about my little Tigger cat. I damn near died when I saw her eye. Now I think I understand just a bit of what those of you with children feel like. The kitties are mine, you see. The kitties are my precious. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Well, Tigger's eye is still on the mend, I hope. Still a big spot on her right eye. Took her to the vet this morning again. The vet was so kind, did not charge me for the checkup. Just for the cortisone shot she hope would quell some of the swelling and promote some healing. But she did not renew the antibiotic prescription, so she much think most of the initial infection has been taken care of. I guess Tigger may have some scarring from this that might not go away. Anyway, to take my mind off of her condition, I thought I might brush up on my Cat yodelling techniques..... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I was told by my Vet, cortesone shots have their limits with regards to cats and can hurt them in the long run. Ziggy comes to mind and he is fine now. From Skin and bones to a very healthy looking kitty. Best of luck with Tigger Mark. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

This was a one-time shot to try to boost her eye healing. Otherwise she might lose her eye for no apparent reason. She still looks up at me with love in both eyes. But I don't know if she sees me with one or with two. She has been such a good kitty throuhout the vet visits (she cries in the carrier)......makes me so sad to think she could lose the eye. I broke down in tears at the vet's room the other day, and she must have had a bad one too, because she actually hugged and cried with me. Now, THAT's a doctor of kitties. Ever wonder what brings a man of 55yo to tears? Kitties. Please don't mess with me too much right now.....the claws shall come out very fast today.. Thanks. Talked to the vet again yesterday, and she says just to try to be patient and give Tigger a bit more time to heal. She thinks the infection itself has been taken care of, and the cloud in Tigger's eye is some scarring and remnants of fighting off the infection that may take some time to dissipate. Or some may be permanent. In any case, it does not look like she is in any danger of losing the eye, and she is still being the dear little Tigger cat she always was. If she can't see properly out of the eye right now, she shows no outward signs of it. So, I just have to wait and pray for some additional healing for kitty. Squirrel made her vet visit today....... Not a happy kitty in the box. But, she mad the visit. All is OK...... Waiting for the T4 results next week. I only wish you believed that I love my kitties as much as I do. Hundreds of dollars in vet bills in the last few weeks. / Meowsigh. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Well, Tigger wasn't exactly the most creative name. But she was my first orange tabby, and I always liked the Pooh character anyway. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
