Me Thinks that the Kitties look at us and say...I iz sure glad I ain't a Humen.

And I iz sure their thoughts do not go that deep.
They are simply too innocent to think that way.

Ever stare one in the eyes........?
They are simply devoid of any hate or judgement.
There is nothing there but love for you.

All there is.

All they have to offer.
And well all they need to.

Neverending love.......
What more could anybody ask for, or give to another?

It's what kitties do.
You just have to give them a bit of kibble and a touch now and then, and they give you all that they are in return.

The wonder that is 'kitty'.......

Now perhaps you can start to understand the kittyman and all that I am....or am not, depending on your point of view.

Have 4 cats at home.

ALL were found on the street.

My Vet, if you adopt a feral animal, will only charge 'half-price' for examinations and shots. Any overnight boarding (for a 'fixed' female) is FREE!!!

All 4 of my little ones were barnyard rescues taken out of somewhat feral situations. And 2 of Lori's are rescues from local shelters. Her 2 Maine Coon brothers were the first ones she ever bought from a breeder, because she simply fell in love with the breed after Oscar, who was a rescue.

Your vet is to be commended for trying to be a part of the solution.

Hi Kitty People!

I am trying to figure out whether something is normal cat behavior or not. When Zsa Zsa, who is about 6 months old, happens upon "prey" (say a tasty looking bug or a spider out of reach) she meows at it while she tries to stalk and catch it. It seems to me that this is a bad move for a predator. Announcing one's presence to one's intended victim before one "does it in" gives the intended prey a warning and ups the odds that your snack will successfully get away.

We've never had a cat who has vocalized while hunting before, and we've had about 7 cats over the years. Something tells me that if Zsa Zsa were a feral kitty, without the benefit of a food bowl that is filled daily by her dutiful house monkeys, she would hunt so poorly that she would pretty much starve to death.

So is vocally announcing your presence during a hunt in the realm of normal cat behavior? Is Zsa Zsa so sure of her success that she is emiting a victory cry, or does she simply lack kitty cat impulse control?

The last explanation I read was that they were going back to their hunting thingys.....their basic instincts.

And they were somehow trying to entice the birdies to get closer to them before they pounced. Perhaps a young chick would reapond to the chirps of the kitty.

I have seen this many times when the kitties were in the window, looking at birdies they could not reach.

Got just a few days 'till I don't know when....
Just a few minutes before......oh, hell then.
Just a few minutes today.

Spent the last sixteen hours of hell.
Might as well tall ya......just as much well.

If these are truly Maine Coon bred, their ears are a sign of how big they will become as full grown cats.
