Hi

I did install the new BOINC software for Mac and many times come one message that said the program con not run because the processor usage is high; I did not see it in the previous version of BOINC. Is a problem because the new boinc manager? Can be solved?

I agree. I always set the processor usage to 25% or less as it tends to heat up my processor. Even at 30% my processor would go over 70 degrees C which makes me very uncomfortable.

By default my previous windows desktop would shut down because the processor would heat up so much.

II would like to recommend that the default settings on BOINC to be far lower at 20-25% when first installed as many users may not initially understand the need to go to preferences and lower the processor usage limits.

Trust me you don't want CPU blood on your hands when you're trying to build up a user base.
