Parl, There is a slight delay on what the server page shows. It is now showing all up and running. PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

I have had a user state that they recieved a Detach and Reattach message for no apparent reason. Can anyone else confirm this? Didn't notice any message but noticed RAC reducing on one machine. When I checked I saw it had detached on 17 Jul 2010 @ 09:00:42. 1656374998 632124968 13 Jul 2010 3:02:56 UTC 17 Jul 2010 9:00:42 UTC Client detached 0.00 0.00 --- SETI@home Enhanced Anonymous platform (NVIDIA GPU) http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=5039483&offset=0&show_names=0&state=5 John. I have had a user state that they recieved a Detach and Reattach message for no apparent reason. Can anyone else confirm this? I had a detach on the 5 Jul 2010 21:16:53 UTC for no apparent reason, the Server reported the tasks as detached, while the client still retained all it's Wu's, i did have a look at my logs but didn't find anything much, just a failed report straight before, it was annoying at the time as i still had a large cache while others were struggling to get work, In rebuilding the Cache i ended up with lots of Ghosts, and have had to detach/reattach twice since then, Error tasks for computer 5427475 Oh, and it was on the day of my 11th Anniversary, Happy Anniversary!!! ;-) Claggy |

I've got 120 crunchers waiting on my ghosts but 43 of them time out tomorrow night. I've got 99 real WUs I'm working on right now so I guess I'll wait until tomorrow evening to detach and clear what's left of the ghosts then. I hope that will give me enough time to rebuild my cache for the next outage. AAAAARRRRRRRRRgh! PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

see if stdoutae.old goes back far enough? Ah, yes it does! - but no signs of errors around the time. This machine was using BAM (not now) and I've a vague recollection of machines using BAM occasionally detaching for no apparent reason but can't find any reference to this??? 17-Jul-2010 08:18:35 [SETI@home] Starting task 19no09ab.20066.885.3.10.212_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 17-Jul-2010 08:18:35 [SETI@home] Starting 19no09ab.20066.885.3.10.186_0 17-Jul-2010 08:18:35 [SETI@home] Starting task 19no09ab.20066.885.3.10.186_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 17-Jul-2010 08:18:35 [SETI@home] Starting 19no09ab.20066.885.3.10.185_0 17-Jul-2010 08:18:35 [SETI@home] Starting task 19no09ab.20066.885.3.10.185_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 17-Jul-2010 08:18:35 [SETI@home] Starting 19no09ab.20066.885.3.10.171_0 17-Jul-2010 08:18:35 [SETI@home] Starting task 19no09ab.20066.885.3.10.171_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 603 17-Jul-2010 08:18:36 [SETI@home] Starting 19no09ab.18010.11519.6.10.237_1 17-Jul-2010 08:18:36 [SETI@home] Starting task 19no09ab.18010.11519.6.10.237_1 using setiathome_enhanced version 608 17-Jul-2010 08:18:38 [SETI@home] Started upload of 04no09ab.29823.4157.16.10.110_1_0 17-Jul-2010 08:18:51 [SETI@home] Finished upload of 04no09ab.29823.4157.16.10.110_1_0 17-Jul-2010 08:28:24 [---] Contacting account manager at http://bam.boincstats.com/ 17-Jul-2010 08:28:31 [---] Account manager: BAM! All servers are supposed to be operational now. I have done the uploads but can't report because the message says that the servers are down. What is the situation, please? You should find it gets through eventually, I think the servers are just busy, and if you are really lucky you might also gets a few tasks. |

So all is working with the setup, servers and all, it's just a case of being busy (and not having enough hardware :) )? I would think the cricket not being maxed out, would mean we shouldn't get all these can't connect to server error messages, but guess I'm wrong? |

I have been getting the following messages for the last hour even though the server status page states everything is up. On Friday at 14:35 UTC there was a problem with the transitioners. I have more than 100 tasks which look like this: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=633768071 This happened to all tasks my wingman already had reported. |

Seems to still be nothing so BOINC grabbed 10 days worth from other projects so it will a while until my processors can get the tasks done to free up some space for SETI work. C++ Developer/IT |
