Parl,
There is a slight delay on what the server page shows. It is now showing all up and running.

Message 1020866 - Posted: 30 Jul 2010, 18:13:14 UTC - in response to Message 1020398.

I have had a user state that they recieved a Detach and Reattach message for no apparent reason. Can anyone else confirm this?

Regards

Didn't notice any message but noticed RAC reducing on one machine. When I checked I saw it had detached on 17 Jul 2010 @ 09:00:42.

I had a detach on the 5 Jul 2010 21:16:53 UTC for no apparent reason, the Server reported the tasks as detached, while the client still retained all it's Wu's,
i did have a look at my logs but didn't find anything much, just a failed report straight before, it was annoying at the time as i still had a large cache while others were struggling to get work,
In rebuilding the Cache i ended up with lots of Ghosts, and have had to detach/reattach twice since then,

Oh, and it was on the day of my 11th Anniversary, Happy Anniversary!!! ;-)

I've got 120 crunchers waiting on my ghosts but 43 of them time out tomorrow night. I've got 99 real WUs I'm working on right now so I guess I'll wait until tomorrow evening to detach and clear what's left of the ghosts then. I hope that will give me enough time to rebuild my cache for the next outage. AAAAARRRRRRRRRgh!

All servers are supposed to be operational now. I have done the uploads but can't report because the message says that the servers are down. What is the situation, please?

Ah, yes it does! - but no signs of errors around the time.

This machine was using BAM (not now) and I've a vague recollection of machines using BAM occasionally detaching for no apparent reason but can't find any reference to this???

You should find it gets through eventually, I think the servers are just busy, and if you are really lucky you might also gets a few tasks.

So all is working with the setup, servers and all, it's just a case of being busy (and not having enough hardware :) )?

I would think the cricket not being maxed out, would mean we shouldn't get all these can't connect to server error messages, but guess I'm wrong?

I have been getting the following messages for the last hour even though the server status page states everything is up. Had to recycle the machine for other purposes, so I don't know how far back this goes.

07/31/2010 09:21:12 SETI@home Sending scheduler request: To fetch work.
07/31/2010 09:21:12 SETI@home Requesting new tasks for GPU
07/31/2010 09:21:34 Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
07/31/2010 09:21:34 SETI@home Scheduler request failed: Couldn't connect to server
07/31/2010 09:21:35 Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

On Friday at 14:35 UTC there was a problem with the transitioners. I have
more than 100 tasks which look like this:

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=633768071

This happened to all tasks my wingman already had reported.

Seems to still be nothing so BOINC grabbed 10 days worth from other projects so it will a while until my processors can get the tasks done to free up some space for SETI work.
