so my new Windows 7 machine installs BOINC fine and when I tell it to attach to project, it says it does so, but my username and team never show up and it's not downloading any work

See front page announcement. Seti is offline Tuesday to Friday morning to do maintenance and to analyses the data in the main database. Servers should be back online sometime tomorrow after 9 in California.
