I just want to make it straight.

I LOVE my RAC.

I LOVE the project.

I HAVE spent many thousands of dollars chasing both.

And I AM tired of some here speaking down upon me and others who have chosen to do so.

If you think that I don't care what goes on here......bite my #ss.

I am starting to build an ignore list of jeerleaders. It helps. What is the limit?

It is the same faces over and over. Always saying the same thing:
that YOU should leave.

Jeff made good progress. Some people are still tripping over that combined limit of 140.. But I think they will get that ironed out(i.e. eliminated).

Hopefully the 140 will be the first limit to be turned off.. then the others can work as intended.. Then they can start raising to avoid the next rush.

But right now.... better than last week. Pet the kitties.. they will be ready to pounce soon.

Speaking for myself, I too love this project and spent thousands of dollars building a mega-cruncher. It was totally fun and I would do it again in an instant. I will never leave the project, or even complain about it. I have found a home here, and if my rig runs dry, then to me it's no big deal. I'm here to stay, and I will help anyone I can, in any way I can, while I am able. My mega-cruncher doubles as a very fast and powerful desktop computer that I can do anything with. RAC to me is fun, and a great way to see what my rig can do, but I'm not about to go anywhere for any reason. Many of the folks I have met here are just fantastic, and I wouldn't trade this experience for anything. Even if I had Bill Gates's money, I would be right here, but donating a whole lot more. Count me in as a lifetime member of team SETI@Home! Let's crunch!

I may complain here and there, but that doesn't mean I will leave. Sometimes a short venting session is a good thing. But I would never threaten to leave or tell someone else to leave. We all get a little aggravated now and again. But I am sure the downtime is for the best of the project and understand why it happens.
