Message 1013656 - Posted: 9 Jul 2010, 15:04:58 UTC

I am starting the servers up.

I had to hide both the jobs limit thread and the new outage schedule thread. Queries for those threads were clobbering the boinc database. I will put something more about this up later...

Thank you very much Jeff.

I'll let you know of any problems. :)

Is the plan to give the upload servers about a day of uploading before starting the download servers?

That was rough before hand Jeff.. uploads seem going okay. May the 0's and 1's land where they should without collapsing everything.

Woohoo! 36 tasks uploaded, still have about 1.5 days cache. Maybe the new setting are working?

The thread that was hidden contained information saying.

Per CPU: 5
Per GPU: 40

I assume CPU = logical cores as well.

So a quad core would get 20 CPU.

No, the limits are:
5 per cpu-core - in other words 10 for dual-core, 20 for quad, 40 for 8-way...
40 per gpu
Max 140 per computer.

Thanks for that info. We'll see how things go on my cruncher when I get home.

Looks like i had 3 errors out of about 750 or so. I hope that doesn't mess up my chances for new work.

It will. It's bugged.

You'll be reset to 100 daily limit. No matter where the errors too place.

I'm looking for the original cuda dll files and I may have found a set, As I'm getting tired of the buggy(error prone) 2.3 dll files.

If you find them and it works and actually stops the -12 errors and memory errors can you let me know?

On my quad it is getting the "This computer has reached a limit on tasks in progress" when requesting CPU tasks only. It has only got 4 cpu tasks in progress.

I do still have about 150 gpu tasks in my cache, thanks to Dr.A's stupendously badly implemented changes. That's out of about a thousand in downloaded incorrectly.

So again, I will be switching off shortly when the cpu tasks are completed and will wait until downloads are back to normal.

Thanks.

Sure thing, But first I have some cpu work to dig through and report before I can download any new gpu work.

I have some 2.2 cuda dll files that I'd gotten from gpugrid, But I don't know if their any better or not. :(

any word on when the "limits" will be lifted?

will it be after downloads subside to 80Mb/s or lower?

24 hours before shutdown was not sufficient time, as last week proved.

uploads are flowing well.
