Always going to be 4 years behind,

but I can't believe I've been at it for almost 7 years!

Well done all, thats quite a feat. What did you start your crunching on? Mine was a 333Mhz intel. 1 Seti classic unit a day.

Still awhile to go here I'm afraid, and don't really crunch seti that much either.

If my old feeble mind is still at least partially active, I believe that it was a PentiumII, the RAM was maxed out. I don't remember much else about it, but I was crunching Classics two or three a day 24/7. I do remember I had to wait until DSL service was available in my neighborhood, and once it was up it was the first thing I did before anything else. I was like a kid with a new toy always checking the progress several times an hour.

IIRC mine was a 66-MHz Power Mac 7100, which took about 150 hours per WU.

11 Years today for me. Started out with a 486DX2-66 at home, and a Pentium 200MHz at work!

I thought I already posted in this thread...?

Anywho, 11 years and 3 weeks or so. (July 30 1999). "Only" 397 classic work units - not bad for someone who was 14 at the time and managed to sneak the extra power usage at home without getting my parents mad. A lot of that was on a Pentium 166 (I can't remember if it was the MMX version or not).

Dhrystone2 puts that CPU at 189 MIPS. I think my work Core i5 750 hits 9079 on the same benchmark... and I think that's single-threaded. At any rate, that's about a 50x increase in speed (possibly 200x if you include 4 threads) in a decade. Cool.

Just noticed I passed 11 years a few days ago. And I passed 1,000,000 total credit today as well.
