If all of the above fails you can also set <ncpus> in your "app_info.xml" to 1. I think that should be "cc_config.xml" ;-) Then the CPU will only assist the GPU and won't do any WU's. And that won't work quite as described as well. The computer would be treated as if it had only one CPU, regardless of the actual count, and that one would do work units as well. If all of the above fails you can also set <ncpus> in your "app_info.xml" to 1. I think app_info.xml was meant, but the <avg_ncpus> and <max_ncpus> for the GPU app. That would have the effect of reserving a full CPU in support of a task running on GPU. But ralf seems to have been satisfied with the answers which keep BOINC from downloading work for CPU, so it matters not. Joe | |
