new version of boinc installed, do i need to reinstal optimized prog ?

hello

i installed the new boinc version, iused the lunitic optimized prog before the instal

is the optimized prog stil working ? or new version automaticly means no optimized prog until i reinstal that1 aswel ?

atm with the new seti rules i dont want a optimized program on any of m pc's, so i hope the new version of boinc kickedout the optimized prog,

dunno were ecxactlythe optimized prog is installed, mayby i yust need to fully uninstal boinc to get ri of it

When upgrading BOINC, the only files that change are BOINC related. Project files are kept in place. So no, you don't have to re-run the Lunatics installer. All your work is still there with the optimized apps.

If you want to get rid of the optimized applications, you'll have to do so by hand. I wrote a how to for someone else not too long ago, wait around, I'll go get it. ;-)

Real is just a matter of perception.

Found it:

Set Seti to No New Tasks and run your cache empty, report all.
Next exit BOINC (BOINC Manager->File->Exit->Check "Stop running science applications on Manager exit"->OK).
Navigate to your BOINC Data directory (default at C:\ProgramData\BOINC\ for Windows Vista and 7. This directory may be hidden).
(Double) Click the Projects directory.
(Double) Click the Setiathome.berkeley.edu directory.
Find and delete the file called app_info.xml
Restart BOINC (Start->Programs->BOINC->BOINC Manager).
Go to the Projects tab, select Seti@Home, click Reset project, confirm with Yes.
Click Allow new tasks.

That resets you to the stock applications on that system.
