are you sure that's not 124 validated tasks today? I'm pretty sure it wasn't meant to be. When we were testing this at Beta, and I had the Fermi going full tilt (they were shorties, and I did well over 1,000 tasks - plotted a credit graph for 1,150 validated, which you can't see because the site is down), several times I got baulked for lack of quota. I could see that 'Number of tasks today' remained static, while 'Max tasks per day' and 'Consecutive valid tasks' increased in step as wingmates checked in and my tasks validated. When 'Max tasks per day' rose above 'Number of tasks today', I could fetch work again, and 'Number of tasks today' rose by the number I received. |

Just as on the other computers; if you look back, there have been numerous 'client detached' except that I did not do that. Haven't seen any new work on the 7 machine since the June 9 and the others that were detached; were not on the computers so was not able to detach them myself. I check them every night and see what has been up- and downloaded on all 5 computers. Why they did not show up and later detached; don't know the answer. Vista is the same. It did download some tasks after I unstalled and reinstall Boinc. Before June 9; it hasn't downloaded any work whereas the other three has until I disabled new work yesterday morning. bj |

This was an interesting one, particularly seeing as this computer isn't signed up to Beta I got same message and then a bit later downloaded work. Had me wondering also. Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... And no good credit hound! |

I got same message and then a bit later downloaded work. Had me wondering also. Just had the same message here as well. Also not signed up to Beta. What gives? Do I actually have to do anything? If I detach I shall lose the best part of 10 days' worth of cache and continuing work. Expert guidance would be most welcome. |

It'll also give us the chance to see whether our "Number of tasks 'today'" resets at 07:00 UTC. Yesterday, at 07:00 UTC, My host http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/host_app_versions.php?hostid=1852935 received 14 WUs. I have seen some increment in Max tasks per day and Consecutive valid tasks but the field Number of tasks today wasn't set to zero. Haw can the new system work if the daily counter isn't reset? At what time this reset is done? FF |

It'll also give us the chance to see whether our "Number of tasks 'today'" resets at 07:00 UTC. It is coded to be done when a host sends its first work request after midnight Berkeley time. Joe |

As so far It looks like I'm being embargoed for no reason, As My AK app is to usable with seti @home, yet S@H says only stock is usable. 6/18/2010 9:50:01 AM SETI@home Message from server: Your app_info.xml file doesn't have a usable version of SETI@home Enhanced. But it looks like the reset is somewhat selective. Have a look at this host (mine): http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/host_app_versions.php?hostid=5402676 I haven't used the stock client since this machine was built over a month ago. The bottom two entries (anonymous entries) are valid for my setup, but didn't get zeroed overnight. Whether the top 2 did or not I couldn't say, since they were at zero yesterday........[/quote] |

There are certainly abundant examples in this forum of hosts for which the intended reset isn't working. There have also been posts showing it working for some, no viable theory yet on what makes the difference. I just hope the authors can figure it out and fix it reasonably soon. At the tail end of your pending list there are ten more tasks your host did with stock 6.03 which should eventually add to the numbers shown for that app. Joe |

I just mention it as another example (sometimes it pays to have a variety of examples to help work out a solution). I have every confidence that things will eventually be sorted out, even if others don't! |
