so you saying that I need to throw out two machines as these will not get any new tasks?
Also; the messages "your app_info.xml file doesn't have a useable version of SETI@HOME enhanced" and "invalid app version description" can be ignored then?

I do understand the 100 quota but what I dont understand is that the Vista and Window 7 computer have been out of work since yesterday and should have gotten some work. In fact; you can look that they have not download any tasks since 9 June.
Been with Seti since Oct. 2000 (Einstein about couple of weeks) but do not plan to have these computers running days at a time without doing any work. I know what the answer will be from you, to join other projects. To keep it short, I plan to stay with Seti or quit. Have other things that I can do.

You can also see that I only downloaded 55 task for the 15 june.
So that leaves me 45.
Does it count 14 June into the quota?

I think that I made a mistake as to the date of downloads. That should have been for the 14 June pertaining to the quota which would make more sense.

Can only remember when the computers were not on and that was when I moved; the ice storm (both for about two days) and my operation last year for three weeks.

Hopefully after the Tuesday outrage; some of the problems can be resovled.

Thanks Sten-Arne

Have you set your preferences for Astopulse only because 68.818 refers to multibeam tasks. If your preferences are set to Astropulse only then it is not suprising that you are not getting any work as Astropulse tasks are rare as hen's teeth.

With the stock app you'll get work. With optimized it's harder to get work. I've tested this out. I was getting no new work, reattached and got a bunch of WU's, reinstalled optimized apps and no work again. :)

Haven't set it that way. I do have an XP, Vista, and 7 set to get work for both. Do not have any problems with getting work on the XP computer for multibeam as it is setup them same as the Vista and 7 computers. So dont understand why can get work for XP but not the other two. Have two other XP computers set for multibeam only.

The only other thing I can think of is version of client that you are running are they all the same ?

I run 2 machines both on Vista, the laptop runing verion 6.4.5 downloads work as required, but my PC running version 6.10.18 tends to run the cache down then try to download a shedload, which I find irratating. I think this some to do them trying to optimise short and long term debt to prevent machines going to panic to often.

Maybe later version are or worse - I do not know.

What does a person need to do to get some work. I am able to download new work on three of my computers. The other two will not download work (message from server: Project has no jobs available). Been waiting and running these computers (wasting electricity) the last few days with no work. Turned a computer on and it downloaded a work unit immediately. Haven't changed anything on any of these computers. All have the version 6.10.56 and have uninstalled and installed but no work will download.
No work = no computer = shut it all down = goodbye

I know the feeling...

And worst of all is that I bought a GTX 470 for Seti purposes and it only succesfully crunched about 50 WU's and then it ran out of work... And it didn't get work for days now...

And how difficult is it to disable a "daily quota of 100 tasks"?
Can't it just be removed? Or am I missing something? (I probably do...)
Aargh... Time to go to sleep again (11:35 over here)... If there is no work tomorrow I think sell my GTX 470 and take the loss...

You haven't been observing carefully enough, the ready to send is 11 hours out of date.

That said, there is work available for awhile and the Cricket graph showed that it is going out. Some hosts have been lucky enough to ask at times the Scheduler knew about work, probably many haven't.

Have you looked at the new Application info pages for your host's yet?

If you take your Windows 7 host, it's Application info page shows it's down to a Max tasks per day of 34, probably something to do with you detaching it yesterday,
those 15 tasks were probably counted as errored tasks, you'll just have to wait for your wingmen to validate your other completed tasks before it'll rise much,

It'll also give us the chance to see whether our "Number of tasks 'today'" resets at 07:00 UTC.

Just recording for my own reference that my Fermi is reporting 124 tasks so far 'today', though neither the task list nor BOINC Manager is showing anywhere near as many.

Just as on the other computers; if you look back, there have been numerous 'client detached' except that I did not do that. Haven't seen any new work on the 7 machine since the June 9 and the others that were detached; were not on the computers so was not able to detach them myself. I check them every night and see what has been up- and downloaded on all 5 computers. Why they did not show up and later detached; don't know the answer. Vista is the same. It did download some tasks after I unstalled and reinstall Boinc. Before June 9; it hasn't downloaded any work whereas the other three has until I disabled new work yesterday morning.

So, this will destroy every chance for CUDA crunchers to get new WU's if they abort VLAR's with the opt Vlarkill app, en masse won't it?
