If you look at the applications page, the 6.10 (cuda_fermi) app has now been installed for Windows/x86. :) Claggy |

If you look at the applications page, 6.10 (cuda_fermi) was now been installed for Windows/x86. :) Does this mean that it will load automatically with standard apps? Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. GPUUG Website |

That is tremendous news! The question becomes is this application the same thing I am running with Lunatics apps? Is it compatible both ways? Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. GPUUG Website |

That is tremendous news! The question becomes is this application the same thing I am running with Lunatics apps? Is it compatible both ways? Yes, I've just been checking: this app is identical to the one we've been using from the Beta test (setiathome_6.10_windows_intelx86__cuda_fermi.exe) - same MD5. So anyone who's got a Fermi working already doesn't need to change a thing. Anyone who was previously being sent the (wrong) v6.09 cuda23 app should now start producing valid work - we need to monitor some initial cases to make sure that the scheduler is correctly identifying which app to send. |

Thanks Richard! At the moment I am unable to report. The cricket graphs seem fine. Could this released app somehow be affecting reporting? Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. GPUUG Website |

Never mind my last post. I hit refresh and saw the cricket graphs for what really is happening. Steve Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Crunching as a member of GPU Users Group. GPUUG Website |

Thanks Richard! At the moment I am unable to report. The cricket graphs seem fine. Could this released app somehow be affecting reporting? No, it just means they're fiddling around in the innards of the system and they've got some switch set to 'off' so your results don't hit them on the back of the head as they come flying in. Or, if your message reads "couldn't connect to server" like mine, it means somebody tripped over a cable. They tend to notice things like "Results received in last hour 0 0". It's the subtler errors which sometimes get missed and need help from the peanut gallery. |

This is from front page... News We are experiencing a problem such that some GPU platforms are quickly overflowing on all workunits that they receive. Rather than burn through a great deal of data that we would have to redistribute, we are turning off data distribution until we get this debugged. Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... And no good credit hound! |

I have Cuda_Fermi tasks waiting to run using stock cuda app, they arn't running but I have 4 Seti tasks running using ak8 opti app & 8 Rosetta tasks running. Dose stock Cuda work with a decustomised cpu ap? I'm using a NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce GTX 470 (driver version 19775, CUDA version 3000, compute capability 2.0, 1248MB, 726 GFLOPS peak) |

I'm using a NVIDIA GPU 0: GeForce GTX 470 (driver version 19775, CUDA version 3000, compute capability 2.0, 1248MB, 726 GFLOPS peak) But you said you have "4 Seti tasks running using ak8 opti app". While you have an opti app - any opti app - you won't download a stock app automatically. So if you have any work in your cache specified to be run by your Fermi card, it will be run by whatever application is named in your current app_info file. So you need to look, and see what you've got. The three application names I listed are all stock apps which might be "automatically downloaded by boinc", under different circumstances. You might have downloaded 608/cuda while you had an older card installed, or 609/cuda23 last week when the project was handling Fermi cards wrongly. But only 610/cuda_fermi will work properly on that card. |
