Hey i am new to this whole SETI@home thing and i was wondering how do i get tasks to work on??

Did you check the Messages tab of BOINC manager?

There might have been not enough tasks to send out for some time.

Your account indicates that Boinc is properly attached the Seti project. It should automatically request work. The Boinc message log will indicate whether this is happening. Mine indicates that the Seti project did not have work to send the last time a request was made. We do have short period of times when this is the case. This is one of the reasons I am also attached to other projects besides Seti.

Yes I did, and there is this message from the SETI@home server where it says (Project has no jobs available) i think that's why but let say when there is tasks available do they just send it out or do i have to request for them?

Hi Aj, welcome to SETI. Yes, when work starts flowing again they just send it out without you having to do anything. Your BOINC Manager will ask for however many work units it thinks you need for the way you are set up.

It might be obvious, but you need to have an active internet connection, otherwise nothing will up/download.
