I'd like an option on the manager that runs the projects only when the computer is idle long enough for the screen saver to kick on. I use my computer a lot and it severely limits my cpu power when the manager is running so I end up turning it off and forgetting about it til days later and by then I've sometimes got data turn-ins which are late. If there was an option which only processed data in screen saver mode I'd be able to leave the manager open knowing it's not bogging my computer down and then when I'm away or sleeping it'll kick on and process data without my having to remember to start it back up.

What about
Suspend work while computer is in use? yes

'In use' means mouse/keyboard activity in last 3 minutes
in your Computing preferences?

And you don't need the manager open at all, just make sure with the exit options that the project applications continue running.

Gundolf
[edit]And you don't need the screensaver either, since it only "steals" CPU cycles from the BOINC applications :-)[/edit]
