Righto, because I am now (again) installing BOINC on all 90 of my school's computers (with permission, of course), and because I still need to go to my other classes, can I customize the installer and the app_info.xml file, so when it's finished, it's already set up with my account details, proxy etc... I've tried the guide at http://www.boinc-wiki.info/Windows_Installer but I might have another crack at it. Thanks! |

I've tried the guide at http://www.boinc-wiki.info/Windows_Installer but I might have another crack at it. That guide only works on BOINC 5 and before, it won't work on BOINC 6 due to the new data directory for one and the (re)validating of the BOINC limited user accounts on the installation. Is there a mass-installer option then for BOINC 6.10? Not that I know of. Perhaps that you can get your class their help on doing this. Although, I would wait a couple of days... 6.10.56 is on the horizon for Public Release. It'd be painful to have to install a new BOINC twice. ;-) |

You could try to automate the install with something like AutoIT (http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/index.shtml) |
