Server state: Over Outcome: Success Client state: Done Exit status: 0 (0x0) stderr.out: [core_client_version]3.07[/core_client_version] [message]One or more missing files [/message] [active_task_state]7[/active_task_state] [signal]0[/signal] [couldnt_start]-163[/couldnt_start] no processing time, no claimed credit and no results, yet the exitcode is 0 (no error) and the outcome is Success. No new WU is generated for a resend (yet). WU-ID's involved: 1617, 5149, 7819 To me it seems this particular error is not handled or not handled correctly by the validator |

If you would like an answer from people that have been working with this software for a while, you need to either unhide your computers or provide a link(s) to result page(s) in question. |

The validate state on all three of those workunits is still initial, so the validator hasn't really done anything yet. I would expect them to be ruled invalid once 2 (or 3) other results have been returned. John Keck testing BOINC since 2002/12/08 |

Here's a LHC work unit with 8 returned results but still pending in "Initial" state : http://lhcathome.cern.ch/workunit.php?wuid=343272 A nineth result "Success"fully failed download, client state "Done" : http://lhcathome.cern.ch/result.php?resultid=1244946 I guess it will be sent out over and over again until the LHC people delete it. There's definitely a problem with the state of up-/download errors. I think, especally download errors should not even be kept in the database - that would save the energy of handling them in the validator. They could create a log file entry if needed but then they should just disappear. edit : yep - it just happened, the WU is outgoing again ... |
