ld: cannot find -lboinc

When I try to compile seti_boinc it gaves me this message -

make[1]: Leaving directory `/opt/seti_boinc/client'

there are two directories in /opt - /opt/boinc and /opt/seti_boinc
so please help me ... tell me what i do wrong....

cd /opt/boinc/lib
make

You should now have a "libboinc.a"
