In your cc_config.xml file (in BOINC folder) you need <use_all_gpus>1</use_all_gpus> tag, otherwise will only use "best" GPU. |

In your cc_config.xml file (in BOINC folder) you need... That's BOINC data folder ;-) @nick: see answers to your posts in all the other fora. Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. (Kleiner Scherz) SETI@home classic workunits 3,758 SETI@home classic CPU time 66,520 hours |

Under Vista and Win 7 you need to put a VGA dummy plug (or some other load) on it before it will let you use it. It lets you use the first 2 devices, but the 3rd is the one that needs the load. Oh and you'll need the cc_config as previously mentioned because the cards are different. BOINC blog |

The cc_config file goes in program data/BOINC file Oh, and once you put the cc_config file in there go to BOINC Manager/advanced tab/ read config file to have it read the file and start using it. PROUD MEMBER OF Team Starfire World BOINC |

Where did you place the file? Please give (copy&paste) full path. What do you find in your Messages tab after a restart of BOINC? There will be a line like this: 15/06/2010 11:51:08||Data directory: C:\Programme\BOINC Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. What driver version are you using? I've found that sometimes the video card drivers get confused when trying to pair up such mismatched cards because the driver requirements are so different. I could not get a GTX285 and an 8600GT to work together in the same XP machine despite trying several different driver versions. The first sign of trouble was that the fan on the 8600 was turned off by the driver as the computer booted, so beware. Brodo |

i tried putting it just in the file folder, and updated config and nuthing GPU related changes to cc_config.xml require a restart of the client. A simple re-read of the config file does not suffice. So exit BOINC (BOINC Manager->Advanced view->File->Exit, check "Stop running science applications when exiting the manager"->OK) and restart it (Start->Programs->BOINC->BOINC Manager) after you put the file in the BOINC Data directory. |
