I'm remembering the quick wit and repartee
that once ruled here
then passed away
we seem like but shadows here
our souls have gone
they've disappeared
shadow women and shadow men
forgotten how to do it again

It still does! Have you taken part in Angelas Friday pun thread? C'mon you brighten up now :-)))

I am not good with a pun...Some are good but i'm not one...I like a good free for all without pattern or form...But as far as being able to dish out the puns...I'm just no good and that's no fun.

Make Monday pint day...

I'll drink to that.

And to celebrate the first day of winter tomorrow I'm planning a sea kayaking adventure in the sea.

I'm back at work this morning...pondering the mysteries of the universe while recording bits and weather forecasts to play on the radio.

If we ever do Poet's Day again...I think it should be in this thread...When the time starts Chris can start the poetry.

Message 999827 - Posted: 2 Jun 2010, 1:00:35 UTC

A couple, 3 years ago we bought a new dehumidifier for the basement. We've used it without trouble and the other day it started making noise. I checked it out, and the fan motor is shot.

The crappy PLASTIC bearings are shot and it won't even turn anymore. To order a new crappy fan will cost upwards to $50 to fix... and that's only if I buy it myself & fix it myself. This really fries my A$$! In the good old days you could buy something, and it would last forever before giving you problems. Nowadays everything is made so it'll give about a couple of years of service before it's ready for the bone-yard.

In a hundred years there won't be anyplace to live because we've filled up all the landfills with the crap we bought a couple of years ago!

Rant over.

Hi Uli

Got a cold - so I haven't been up to much. Missed 3 days of work already.

Yourself and Monday should pop in more often!
