I love statistics. I minored in statistics in grad school. A good statistician can prove just about anything using the same set of raw data. History is a much better way to predict the future. We are, after all, a rather predictable lot. The best indicator of public mood was articulated by one crazy cajun named James Carville. "It's the economy, stupid!" Don't believe me? Ask the only US President in modern history to boast a 90% approval rating and then go on to lose re-election. And 7 years later It was 25%, The 3rd lowest(Truman was at 22%), Only Fuhrer Arnold(13%) and the California Legislator(12%) are lower I think. Former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich would qualify for the lowest approval rating sweepstakes...His rating bottomed out at 8% approval...Now he's been kicked out of office and has the Feds breathing down his neck. I'd almost forgotten about Him, Hand in the cookie jar, shame, shame on Him. Hand, heck, he jumped in and the only part not in the cookie jar was a small orifice part of his posterior, an apt description of the individual. ID: 990481 ·
